Whispers: Superlative’s Billboard Stunt Sends Manchester Into 'Fugazi' Frenzy

Superlative 'Fugazi' and Billboard demands on QH Sound

Manchester’s very own wild card is back, and this time, he’s got a new single 'Fugazi' and a not-so-subtle campaign to get himself on a billboard.

Superlative, the rapper who’s made chaos his reputation and honesty his brand, has just dropped “Fugazi,” a DnB banger that’s part of a two-track release alongside “Breaking The Mold,” produced by none other than award-winning Ruckspin. But before the music even landed, Superlative was already stirring the pot - posting a reel on Instagram nugding QH Sound to run a billboard campaign in his honour. Fans were encouraged to tag, share, and story-blast QH Sound into submission. Very on-brand.

And while the billboard dream is still floating in the ether, the music is very real and so is the momentum. Superlative’s been in session with a live band at the adidas Originals Studio, engineered by Abbey Road inside the Co-Op Live Arena. Translation: something big is brewing.

On another note, Superlative recently turned 30 and thought he’d wake up with grey hairs. Instead? “Literally nothing changed, apart from the fact that I have to scroll down a tiny bit more on any form or application now.” Existential dread. 😂 He’s also lost 10kg and now claims to feel “like a majestic bird.” Whether that bird is a phoenix or a pigeon remains unclear, but the level up is undeniable.

Of course, the spiders are back. Bigger than ever, apparently. And if you thought his fear had subsided since the infamous cereal standoff, think again.

Creatively, he’s entering a new phase, one focused on accurately portraying the SPR ethos (Succeed in Pushing Reality) across every project. He’s also taken up drumming, and has developed a new obsession: posing like he’s being papped on public transport. “So when I’m on trains, I just pose randomly at people as if the paparazzi is trying to break a new story on me.” 😏

And while he’s thriving musically, he’s also had to visit a foodbank twice. “Life is tough man, but equally it's beautiful.” That duality, grit and grace is what makes Superlative so magnetic.

So what’s next? Glastonbury 2027. He’s already prepping. And yes, he still wants that billboard. “This year, I will be on a billboard,” he whispers. Manifestation or prophecy? Time will tell. Until then, keep tagging, keep streaming, and keep watching.
