In the vast world of modern music, Daryoh is a name that stands out. Blending soulful vocals, deep house grooves, and alt-pop textures, he creates immersive soundscapes that resonate with raw emotion and introspection. His journey, from gospel beginnings in Chioggia, Italy, to London’s vibrant electronic scene, is one of evolution, self-discovery, and artistic integrity.
“I’m originally from Chioggia, a small island near Venice, and now live in London,” Daryoh shares. His early exposure to gospel music planted the seeds for his deep emotional connection to performance, a passion that eventually led him to study Bel canto at the Conservatorio “Cesare Pollini” in Padua.
But it was his move to London that truly shaped his artistic identity. “It gave me the space to unlearn rigidity and embrace experimentation,” he reflects. His music thrives in this tension between classical refinement and the fluidity of electronic production.
At the heart of Daryoh’s music is the fusion of vocal purity with rhythmic depth. “There’s a strong emotional core, my music often deals with solitude, disillusionment, inner dialogue, and the search for meaning,” he explains. His classically trained voice meets the ethereal tones of deep house and alt-pop, crafting a distinct sonic fingerprint.
The creative process is organic and deeply personal. “I usually start at the piano, playing around with chords until something moves me emotionally,” he says. “Once I find a motif that resonates, I let it guide everything else.”
His inspirations reflect this emotional depth, drawing from cities at night, spiritual practice, poetry, and artists like Luther Vandross, Donna Summer, Robyn, and Stevie Wonder.
For Daryoh, releasing his debut single, Free. Drift. Chill. Sleep., was a defining moment. “It was the first time I felt fully represented in sound,” he says. Seeing it resonate with listeners and land on curated playlists was a quiet but powerful affirmation.
“That track encapsulates so many layers - spiritual searching, emotional exhaustion, hope, and sensuality. Every line means something to me, and the production reflects that inner world.”
His collaboration with producer Emeye further solidified his sound. “Our work together felt organic. We both value space, texture, and emotional clarity.”
Fans can expect new music, with upcoming singles expanding the sonic universe introduced in his debut. “It’ll still be soulful and danceable, but slightly bolder in concept and production.”
Performance is also high on the agenda: “I want to perform live sets that combine vocals with electronic elements.”
As his journey continues, collaborating with DJs and producers across genres remains a long-term vision, reinforcing his desire to push sonic and emotional boundaries.
Music is more than just sound for Daryoh, it’s a space for connection. “I hope it gives people space to feel, to reflect, to move,” he shares. “It’s made for those quiet moments after the party, or for dancing alone in your room.”
One interaction stands out to him: “Someone messaged me saying the lyrics to Free. Drift. Chill. Sleep. felt like something they couldn’t say out loud but needed to hear. That meant the world to me.”
Beyond music, Daryoh’s artistic identity is deeply influenced by his practice of Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism. “I chant every day, and that inner work is deeply tied to my creative process.”
Balancing full-time work with a growing music career is a challenge, but protecting time for silence, rest, and creation remains central to his journey.
As he builds his body of work, one thing is clear: Daryoh’s music is a bridge between precision and emotion, classical technique and electronic fluidity, a space where truth and sound meet.
