Lithuanian-born, Berlin-based art-pop artist PATRICIJA unveils “Angel With a Broken Harp” - a slow-burning, and sonically volatile spectacle of a release that fractures expectation and lingers with quiet intensity.

“Angel With a Broken Harp” showcases PATRICIJA’s signature blend of alternative pop with cinematic, dark art-pop influences, drawing from artists such as Lady Gaga, BANKS, and AURORA - reimagined through her own distinct lens. The result is a theatrical, emotionally charged, and sonically immersive track, where orchestral elements merge with the force of a full live-band dynamic.

The initial spark came from her longtime collaborator, producer Augustas Žalalis, who brought forward the idea of a mellow, feel-good Christmas song built around a major-key progression. What followed was a complete transformation. PATRICIJA redirected the narrative into something far more raw and unfiltered - turning the concept into a reflection on what she describes as “real-life angels with broken harps,” a metaphor for children with broken dreams.

At its core, the track confronts the stark contrast between global suffering and selective celebration - drawing attention to youth experiencing the realities of war and conflict, while much of the Western world continues to romanticize “the most wonderful time of the year.”

Lyrically, the song leans into metaphor and duality. Imagery such as “a jester on his paper throne,” “a big bad wolf in sheep’s white clothing,” and “forbidden fruit” evokes a childlike, almost fairytale-like language - intentionally masking deeper meanings beneath a surface of fragile comfort. This interplay creates a subtle gothic grotesque tone, where hope and unease coexist, and innocence becomes a vehicle for something far more unsettling.

The environment in which the track was created mirrors that same atmosphere. Recorded in a remote, self-assembled underground studio in Vilnius - the city both artist and producer originate from - the process became immersive to the point of disorientation, with time seemingly dissolving during its creation.

“Angel With a Broken Harp” lives in that space where something still looks beautiful, even as it’s quietly falling apart. I wanted it to feel like a lullaby that doesn’t let you rest - something gentle on the surface, but impossible to ignore underneath.” - PATRICIJA.

Artist Biography:

Lithuanian-born, Berlin-based artist PATRICIJA began shaping her artistic identity at a young age, completing over a decade of classical and opera vocal training at music school before transitioning into contemporary vocal coaching - an evolution that sharpened both her technical control and expressive range. Her breakthrough came through The Voice of Lithuania, where she finished as runner-up and gained nationwide recognition. Each of her performances was later featured in global The Voice compilations, while her Superfinal performance became the most-viewed video in the show’s history, trending at #1 on Lithuanian YouTube for consecutive weeks after release. Since then, she has moved decisively beyond conventional pop frameworks, building a sound that prioritizes mood, tension, and narrative depth. Drawing from artists such as Florence + The Machine, Massive Attack, and Lorde, her work sits at the intersection of alternative pop and atmospheric storytelling - where restraint, contrast, and emotional weight take precedence over formula. Now based in Berlin, she is further developing her artistry through studies at BIMM Berlin, while steadily expanding her international reach. Early support from platforms such as BBC Introducing reflects growing momentum, positioning her among a new generation of European artists pushing the boundaries of contemporary pop.

“Emotional weight that doesn’t slot neatly anywhere”

“Most people who try it sound like they’re working for it. She doesn’t”

– Chaoszine, 2026

“Song that sounds as though it could have been part of a James Bond soundtrack - or a long lost and previously unreleased Dark Side of the Moon/Rolling Stones track”

– The Joy Of Violent Movement, 2026

“If “Angel With a Broken Harp” is pointing anywhere, it’s darker, weirder, and more her own. That’s worth paying attention to now, before it becomes obvious”

– Chaoszine, 2026
