Liverpool based Artist Iona Summer has released her bold new single “Bleed on This Land.” The song weaves powerful vocals with an intricate storyline, transporting listeners to another world.
“Bleed on This Land” showcases Iona Summer’s signature blend of Rock and Alternative Pop with influences from Radiohead, Florence + The Machine and The Cranberries. The result is a raw yet gritty Celtic inspired track that offers listeners a chance to reflect on their own morals.
The song debates a complex question; would you keep your own hands clean at the expense of another’s pain, or help them and live with blood on your hands? It’s a powerful and intriguing song showing how far some people are willing to go to help others and how little others are willing to do.
The song was produced by Lucy McQuillan who has worked on all Summer’s songs. The track was also recorded in the same location as her debut EP “Maryhill” which is The Cabin in Liverpool.
“Would we really let others suffer just because we don’t want blood on our hands? That’s what my song is here to question”
