Get to know: Tizane - The Rising Alt-Rock Force Blending Emotion, Grit and Cinematic Sound

Get to know Kentish Alt-Rock band Tizane on QH Sound

From the heart of Kent emerges Tizane, an alt-rock band redefining what it means to merge passion, vulnerability, and intensity in modern rock. Drawing influence from the emotional power of Paramore, the grit of Linkin Park, and the unapologetic spirit of Avril Lavigne, Tizane are carving out a bold, emotionally charged lane of their own - one that bridges raw rock energy with dark pop atmospheres.

Music has always been part of Tizane’s DNA. “Our parents introduced us to music from a young age, playing records around the house and taking us to gigs,” the band recalls. “Early exposure inspired us to learn our instruments and start writing music by the time we got to our teenage years.”

That early spark has since become a driving force. For Tizane, this isn’t just a career, it’s a calling. “Passion for music, not wanting to work any other jobs, so that we can spend as much time making music as possible,” they share candidly. It’s that same relentless dedication that keeps the group pushing forward, even when the independent route gets tough.

“Every day has its difficulties as an independent band,” they admit. “Balancing 9-5 jobs and arranging rehearsals/writing sessions weekly has been challenging, but getting through that has brought us closer together as not just band mates, but friends.” That DIY work ethic extends to everything they do, including filming and editing their own music videos. “It’s ended up being a lot more work than expected but the outcome is going to be totally worth it.”

Tizane’s sound sits confidently between alt-rock and pop - polished yet powerful, melodic yet deeply emotive. “We’re an Alternative Rock band with a big pop rock influence too,” they explain. “Our sound blends the emotional intensity of Paramore with a hint of more dark, atmospheric textures like Billie Eilish. We mix punchy guitars and dynamic vocals with cinematic electronic sounds, giving it lots of dynamics which goes well with our haunting melodies and lyrics.”

Each band member brings something different to the table, shaping a sound that feels both fresh and familiar. “Each member of our band brings something unique, having grown up with different musical influences we try to bring that to the music we make, giving us a unique sound,” they say. “We are not afraid to be vulnerable with lyrics, exploring deeper, more personal topics that we hope our fans connect with. We’re trying to build our own space between Alt Rock and Pop where emotion and intensity meet.”

Their hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed. BBC Radio has already picked up on Tizane’s undeniable potential, with Jo Whiley playing their track “Forever is Nothing” on Radio 2, and Alyx Holcombe giving “Running” a spin on the Radio 1 Rock Show. Even Snow Patrol’s Jonny Quinn has shown support. “Our next release ‘Change For You’ has gained support from Jonny Quinn who used to play drums in Snow Patrol,” they reveal. “He came to one of our shows last year and loved what he heard! He’s connected us with a producer who produced ‘Change For You’ and another up and coming release.”

While “Forever is Nothing” remains their proudest release to date, it’s the new single “Change For You” that marks an exciting new chapter. “So much work has gone into the song and music video,” they share, hinting at the band’s meticulous creative process. “We work together to ensure that the vision of each song is perfectly shown throughout our music, using dynamics and specific instrument parts to push the lyrics' meaning. That way, even with no lyrics, you can still feel the emotion intended through just the music alone.”

That emotion-first approach defines Tizane’s connection with fans. “Whether we are playing in front of 10 people or 1000 people we want to build a close connection with our fans,” they explain. “We want others to see us not just as performers but as real people they can relate to - growing, learning and expressing ourselves through music. Our Journey is one we want to make with our listeners.”

Tizane - Change For You on QH Sound

With “Change For You” dropping Friday 10th of October 2025 and plans for a full album in early 2026, Tizane are gearing up for a pivotal year. Their aspirations are grounded but ambitious: “Being able to do this full time. We're not interested in making millions, but enough so we can do music full time and be sustainable.”

Still, their focus remains on connection and authenticity. “We hope people feel seen, understood and less alone,” they share. “One thing we like to focus on when writing is the ability to have people be able to interpret and relate to any of our songs, even if we wrote about one specific event in our lives.”

Tizane’s story is one of passion over profit, connection over fame, and creativity over conformity. With their unique blend of alt-rock energy and emotional depth, they’re not just another band on the rise, they’re a movement of authenticity, driven by heart, honesty, and the power of sound.
