I treat writing like eavesdropping on the melody.” She often begins with a metronome, waiting for inspiration to arrive. And when it does, it’s never forced. “It’s not always conscious. It just shows up, and my job is to catch it before it disappears.”

And while she’s proud of songs like “New Land”, a track born from personal transformation, what matters most to Sasha is how her music lives in others. “I hope it meets people where they are, but also invites them somewhere new. Maybe it helps them hear themselves more clearly, or lets them feel something they’ve been putting off.”

One listener told her that her song helped them leave a bad situation. Another emailed from the other side of the world, saying her music restored their faith in honest artistry. “Those kinds of messages mean more to me than anything else - they remind me why I’m doing this.”
