Monique Togara is an R&B singer and songwriter from Surrey, blending Afro and house, her sound is defined by raw emotional honesty and seamless genre fusion.

 

Monique Togara is an Afro – R&B pop fusion singer and songwriter from Surrey. In the beginning of her career until now, Togara has held a strong, fierce, unstoppable and committed attitude; throughout the UK R&B scene and entertainment industry.

 

Since, bonding with Indie management and label Finesse Foreva. She didn’t doubt working with producers and composers JB Madelt, Anthony Ologun, Nicole Cannonier and Dot Inc. In fact, Monique was more than ready to integrate alternative R&B and cinematic visions with Finesse Foreva to produce tracks ‘Calling’ (2025), ‘Miss Me’ (2026), ‘Same Mistakes’ (2026) and her new summer hit ‘Get What I What’ (2026). Adding on to this, the Surrey

musician’s algorithm has shown an upward traction of monthly listeners and streaming numbers on Spotify by breaking new milestones but also gaining a brilliant reception of streams from all past releases.

So, for those who haven’t discovered Monique Togara yet. Her latest work and sound carry a twist of Afro House, R&B and raw honest emotions which is highlighted to be a unique seamless genre. Furthermore, her own style of music catches on a lot of appreciation by tastemakers and radio stations. Such as KISS FM’s DJ Ace, BBC Radio 1Xtra and Capital Xtra; also, Reprezent Radio instantly took an interest to Togara that allowed her to be appointed for an interview hosted by Rellik The Lion and Samuel Eni.



After just publishing her first three songs, the singer managed to secure major festival stages, to mention a few are; The Great Escape and Cloud x Black Is Beautiful. At the same time, Monique was highly chosen to be a supporting act for Jamilah Barry. In connection with this in July, Monique will share the main stage with headliners Rudimental and Sophie Ellis-Bextor at Guilfest.



Continuing her success in the media, Monique from Woking represented Sussex and Surrey on BBC Live Lounge by treating fans to an exclusive live performance of her track ‘Searching For’. Also, before introducing ‘Get What I Want’ on May 15; Spotify featured ‘Calling’ and ‘Miss Me’ on their editorial playlist RNBUK. At this point, BBC Radio 1Xtra selected Monique to be a recommended artist for International Women’s Day; and her 2026 record ‘Miss Me’ was picked to be the ‘Track of the week’ grasping support from Fee Mak,

Joelah Noble, Theo Johnson, Kaylee Golding and Remi Burgz.

 

Let’s get familiar with ‘Get What I What’ shall we. Well, this unapologetic anthem has sold attention from audiences around the globe, because they are drawn into playful moods and metaphors, captured in cheeky reels and videos portraying so much personality. The idea behind the song is to celebrate no bad energy, confidence, self-assurance, self-worth and embracing authenticity that is important in a friendship.
