Arthur Black Breaks the Mold with Haunting New Single “Blythburgh”

The new single release from the Unsigned Award winning artist Arthur Black is a stand alone track that follows her debut EP released at the end of 2025.
The single, titled Blythburgh, is a purposeful stray away from the organic band sound that Arthur is better known for. It's a protest against the pressure of being put in a box as an independent artist. The promo visuals signal a return to the brooding white face paint that Arthurs early work was accompanied by. The song itself is about the magic of late night drives when although the destination may not be positive, the journey itself is special and a world that you appreciate and romanticise.
Blythburgh is a partnership with the producer Christy Carey after they met whilst working as part of a collaborative project called Birdsong. Arthur had recently spent a day at Brian Enos studio and came away with a new love for electronic music.
Blythburgh is released on Mon 29th June on the Presages label
Arthur Black is a 21 year old Scottish artist and writer based in the UK, creating music shaped by a bohemian upbringing, homelessness, growing up isolated from modern culture, away from school and internet access. Entirely self taught by ear, she blends folk, trip-hop, and some celtic influences into a sound that is raw and deeply human.
